The lioness makes progress!
Jul. 30th, 2009 08:09 amWe are now pretty certain she will be coming home sometime this weekend, so we are now in a flurry of making sure that everything is ready for that (acquiring various useful and needful tools, her learning how to get into and out of a car[1], and all sorts of other good fun.)
She has also graduated from occupational therapy (though she'll have a few more sessions at home on things specific to her house, rather than the Platonic ideal of a house found in the rehab spaces.) She's even walking - briefly - with just the quad cane rather than the walker.
(I come in every morning, and there's all sorts of exciting new news, so it takes us half an hour to catch me up. This is delightful.)
[1] There is, in fact, an entire assembled car on the 5th floor of the building she's in, designed for this kind of thing. We are very amused.
